Unfortunately for Memphis, this loss marks their fourth consecutive defeat, dropping their record to 18 wins and 27 losses. The team is currently facing challenges, including the absence of star guard Ja Morant, who is sidelined for at least three weeks due to a left elbow injury.
Miller's performance was pivotal, particularly in the first quarter where he scored 14 points, helping the Hornets establish an early lead of 36-28. At one point during the game, Charlotte surged ahead to a commanding 29-13 lead with just under four minutes left in the opening quarter. By halftime, the Hornets were ahead 62-55, and they maintained a solid advantage through to the third quarter, finishing that period with a 75-66 lead.
Looking ahead, the Hornets will face the Dallas Mavericks Thursday night, while the Grizzlies will travel to New Orleans for a game on Friday night.
